Hi, I'm Ibenam! Your relatable CAPS Maths mentor, dedicated to helping you unlock your full academic potential.
Mathematics is often viewed as a daunting, stressful subject, but it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to completely change how you look at Maths. I want to take you from feeling overwhelmed by complex algebra or geometry to experiencing that incredible, confidence-boosting moment when a tough problem finally clicks and you realise, "I've got this!"

To be completely honest and transparent, I am currently a Grade 10 student. While I do not have a university degree, I possess a unique and powerful advantage: I am actively living and succeeding in the exact same curriculum you are studying right now.

What makes me unique as a tutor is that I am currently a Grade 10 CAPS student who is at the top of my class. I am not a distant adult lecturing from a textbook; I am actively sitting in the same classrooms, writing the same tests, and navigating the exact same curriculum as my students.
My teaching methodology is built on Diagnostic, Active Learning. Instead of just showing a student how to solve a problem while they passively watch, I have them attempt the question and explain their thought process to me. This allows me to pinpoint the exact "missing puzzle piece" in their logic. Once I understand how they think, I adapt my explanation to fit their specific learning style. This targeted approach ensures we don't waste time re-learning things they already know, focusing instead on turning their weakest areas into their biggest strengths.
