About Jake
Throughout my high school years, I was an avid performer on both violin and viola. On viola, I achieved A+(100) on my NYSSMA All-State solos 2 years in a row! I also performed chamber music in NYU's chamber strings program in 2019. On violin, I was concertmaster in my school's orchestra while also playing viola.

My teaching approach is different in that it is tailored to the students interests and goals, not mine! While I teach traditionally, (scales, etudes, repertoire) I will adapt to my students likings and explore their own voice. I teach all ages from beginner-advanced!
