About Alan
After studying composition privately with Sir John Tavener in London I was offered a scholarship to undertake undergraduate study at the Royal College of Music. While at the college I worked as
a classroom teacher and private tutor and, after leaving, remained in London working as a keyboard player in pit orchestras, Musical Director, and vocal coach for West End and touring shows. At this time I studied song-writing with Stephen Sondheim at the Mercury Musical Workshop.
I enjoy passing on the knowledge I learned from great teachers I myself had.
