About Jacob
I trained at Oxford and Yale Universities and the Royal Northern College of Music. I am currently a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London, specialising in piano accompaniment. I have taught in schools across London as well as privately.

I will show you building blocks of great piano playing. 1) How to hear music in your head and understand how it's constructed. 2) Technique, developing a strong piano hand and good coordination with the brain. 3) Reading and analysing music, what are the elements that make a score? 4) How can we use these skills to express feelings and connect with humanity.

Jacob has been teaching piano to my 6 year old daughter for over 18 months now. Jacob is an excellent teacher who is exceptional in the subject, considerate, punctual, patient, trustworthy and attentive. I really credit him for keeping my daughter engaged, interested and happy during her lessons. During the lockdown Jacob has been giving lessons via Zoom and it must be said that during this I was able to be involved in my daughters learning and see how she is progressing and the delivery of the lesson too.
