About RACHI
Hi, I’m Rachi. I hold a BSc in Biology from Dalhousie University and have a strong academic foundation in math, statistics, and natural sciences through my coursework and hands-on experience in healthcare.
During university, I worked with the Accessibility Center as a proctor and scribe, supporting students who required extra academic assistance. I was also involved in peer mentorship, helping fellow students understand complex topics in a simple, approachable way.
I have ADHD, so I know firsthand how challenging it can be to study and process information. Over the years, I developed techniques that helped me stay focused, organized, and excel academically. I now use and share these strategies with younger students so they can tackle similar challenges without the struggle I experienced.
Professionally, I’ve worked in a hospital setting as an administrative assistant, which strengthened my organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Students can expect a structured, patient, and supportive environment where lessons are tailored to their pace and designed to help them truly understand and succeed.

My approach is simple: make things make sense before making them hard.
I focus on breaking math, statistics, and natural sciences into small, logical steps so students understand the “why” before the “how.” A lot of students struggle because topics are rushed in class and they’re left memorizing instead of understanding. I slow it down, rebuild the foundation, and then layer the concepts in a way that actually clicks.
A typical lesson starts with a quick recap of what the student already knows, followed by explaining one core concept using examples from real life, science, or everyday situations. Then we solve problems together step-by-step, and finally the student practices on their own while I guide them through mistakes calmly. I also include exam-style questions early so they feel confident when they see similar patterns on tests.
What sets me apart is my experience working with the Accessibility Centre at Dalhousie, where I supported students as a scribe and proctor. I learned how different students process information and how to adapt explanations for each person. I was also involved in peer mentorship during university, so I naturally explain things in a way that feels relatable, patient, and non-intimidating.
These lessons are for middle school and high school students who need help in math, statistics, biology, chemistry, or general natural sciences, especially those who feel “behind,” overwhelmed, or who just need someone to explain it in a clearer way than a textbook or classroom lecture.
