Hello, I am an American violinist, and offer violin lessons for all ages and levels. Before coming to France, for 6 years in New York I gave many private lessons and also directed a class of young violinist beginners in a private school. As a teacher, I am there to help my students convey the music as best they can. Depending on your level, it may mean working on techniques, or rather discussing the variety of ideas and possible interpretations. Playing the violin is giving a voice to the music written on the page. The technique is important but it's just a way to convey the sound, a story behind the notes. For young musicians, in addition to providing a medium for expression, the violin teaches certain things useful in everyday life, such as discipline, perseverance, and self-confidence. For all these reasons, I am aware of my place as a " role model" for children. I adapt my methods and ways of giving the course according to each individual. If the violin is something new to you, I will be delighted to introduce you to the world of music from this perspective. If you are looking for serious courses to prepare for competitions and auditions, do not hesitate to talk to me about your specific needs. Perfect! Rachel est un très bon professeur ! Je recommande !
Perfect! Miss Rachel enseigne à notre enfant depuis 2 mois. Nous avons de plus en plus confiance en elle tant pour sa technique, que pour sa personnalité. Elle nous rassure, parce qu'elle pense à tout. Elle fait des efforts pour connaître la passé de l'apprentissage du violon de l'enfant afin de s'adapter au mieux.
L'enfant a fait beaucoup de progrès au violon grâce à elle. En plus, il a maintenant plus d'intérêt au violon qu'avant. Rachel reste toujours patiente et prête à discuter quand l'enfant parle de ses impressions. Elle lui trouve aussi la musique de violon des Maîtres pour qu'il puisse élargir ses vues. C'est pourquoi l'enfant est heureux de suivre chaque cours avec Rachel. Elle est une professeur vraiment remarquable!- Fantastic student. Very motivated and already progresses well!
