About Sirwan
Growing up, my family were immigrants and could not afford me lessons. When I was around 14, I had an epiphany for classical music after hearing one of Beethoven's lesser-known piano sonatas. From then, I vowed to teach myself piano. I soon learned his Pathetique and Moonlight sonatas and my journey has been life-changing. At 19, 5 years into my journey, I was accepted into the Conservatoire of Chichester to study classical piano. There I learned from my teacher Terence Albright, the importance of connecting the aural to the neural and the physical to achieve a solid technique. I have gone on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree, First-Class distinction with the highest performance marks. I am now performing across Wales and my locality as a concert pianist.

Teaching piano and music is, like a lot of disciplines, mentally engaging. I will approach our lessons from a physical, aural and mental standpoint and very highly personalised methods.
I want to show you first the basic understanding of the piano (5-finger positions, scales, etc) with the correct posture and positioning and then get down to the more advanced aspects of practice (e.g, rhythm exercises, sight-transposition, symmetrical inversions, more advanced scales and arpeggios - which will all be explained as we progress).
I teach classical piano, theory, composition and improvisation.
