About Nicolas
I am a classically trained concert pianist and educator, and a piano teacher at the Steinway-affiliated Trinity School in London. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music, I bring over a decade of experience in international performance and teaching.
My approach combines refined technique with musical imagination, helping each student develop confidence, individuality and a genuine understanding of the music. I offer bespoke lessons tailored to students of all ages and levels, from those taking their first steps at the piano to advanced pianists preparing for examinations, auditions and performances.

Italian
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, their musical interests and their goals. I believe that excellent piano playing is about much more than learning the notes: we work on technique, sound, phrasing, interpretation and musical imagination, always looking for ways to make the music feel meaningful and personal.
Lessons can focus on examination preparation, performance and audition work, advanced repertoire, or simply developing a deeper enjoyment of the piano. My aim is to create a focused but encouraging environment in which students are challenged to progress while developing their own musical voice.
Lessons take place at my London studio on a grand piano, providing a professional and inspiring setting in which to learn and make music.

Perfect! I started my lessons with Nicolas around three months ago . Nicolas has transformed my musical journey, helping me develop my skills in ways I never thought possible. His expertise and understanding of music theory are evident in every lesson, making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable.
The progress I’ve made under his guidance has been quite noticeable and I find myself hitting notes and playing pieces with greater confidence than ever before. Still working on some of the pieces of course!
It’s inspiring to see how he tailors each lesson to fit my learning style, ensuring I grasp each element before moving on to the next. I used to get bored during my piano lessons but with him so far no BOREDOM! There is no time to get bored!!!!!!
What sets Nicolas apart is his incredible patience and encouragement. He creates a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth, allowing me to experiment and learn without fear. I do not have enough time to practice but he guides me through with a lot of PATIENCE!
I genuinely believe he is one of the best piano teacher I have ever had, and I am grateful for the impact he has had on my musical abilities so far.

Nicolas has been an exceptional teacher for me, especially as I have progressed towards Diploma level. One thing I really appreciate is that he doesn't just focus on whether I can play the notes. He pushes me to think about the details, consistency, control and what makes a performance really convincing.
He has also helped me a lot with rhythm and being more relaxed at the piano. I learn new pieces quite quickly, but Nicolas has taught me that getting to a good first version is only the beginning. His lessons have made me much more aware of the difference between learning a piece and actually being ready to perform it.
I am excited to carry on learning!Nicolas has been a wonderful teacher for Trevor. He has a very enthusiastic personality and Nicolas has really understood how to channel that in the right direction.
