About Varnika
Hi, I’m a 3rd Year Student at Queen Mary University of London, studying Computer Systems Engineering. I’m from India, where I took part in the All India Exam, JEE Mains, achieving a 93 percentile. I received A’s & A*’s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry & English. Suffice it to say, my educational experience means I understand what it feels like to study constantly for a subject and still not achieved your desired grades. As such, I intend to use my skills and knowledge to ensure that no student suffers alone in silence, without anyone that can actually help. During my time preparing for JEE, I was struggling to cope with the workload and it was only after my own tutor came into my life that I was able to succeed. This means that I understand the importance of a tutor in a student's life. I aim to use my experience and expertise to make lessons fun and relaxing for my students. I look forward to meeting you. My style of teaching involves strengthening the foundations of a subject. I use presentation slides and whiteboards to enhance the tutoring experience. I have been teaching for quite a long time now and I have the experience to teach every kind of student. I encourage my students to ask as many questions as they like and then at the end of every session, I ask them to explain the topic to me like I am 6 years old since I follow the ideology of the famous Albert Einstein who said “If you can't explain it to a six-year-old, you don't understand it yourself.” I also focus on developing the weaker aspects of each topic to allow my students to move on to the more difficult ones. My approach to teaching consists of using examples and demonstrations to help explain topics from a different perspective. My prior students can attest to my methods and to the level of success that they helped them to achieve. I aim to make studying less intimidating and rather more achievable.
