About Logan
My background is in engineering and drafting, with a focus on mechanical engineering. I am currently studying computer science and leading a technologies society for Roehampton University. I focused my early education on physics and logic, giving me a strong background for both of the fields I would later pursue.
Now I wish to help others grow their skills by teaching them not only how to program, but how to design a program. Each programming language is a tool, a means to an end. Once you understand the logic of a language, you can more easily learn the other languages, at which point you must know how to craft something using the tools before you.
I want my students to understand the logic and application of programming rather than focusing on the end result. Programming should be accessible to everyone, not bogged down by technical terms and elitism.

I am currently studying computer science and I have a background in mechanical and architectural engineering.
I am offering programming lessons to students ages 14 and up for £10 an hour. Lessons will be approximately 1 to 2 hours each.
Programming languages are optional based on the student's previous experience.
Beginners - If you have no programming background I will teach you Python from the ground up.
Intermediate - If you have some programming background I will teach you Python or C#
Advanced - If you are already quite familiar with programming I will teach you Python, C#, or C++ along with software engineering skills
Lessons will consist of a coding exercise followed by detailed feedback, code to compare to, and a design theory discussion.
Industry standards will be taught, such as proper code commenting and naming conventions.
