Hello, my name is John, and I am a Computer Science undergraduate with a strong academic background in mathematics and problem-solving. I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and develop confidence in their mathematical abilities.
Through my studies, I have gained extensive experience applying mathematical concepts, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking to real-world problems. These skills allow me to explain challenging topics in a clear, structured, and accessible way, helping students build a solid understanding rather than simply memorising methods.

Hi, I'm John, a Computer Science undergraduate with a strong passion for mathematics and helping students build confidence in their abilities.
My approach to tutoring is student-centred and focused on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that understanding concepts is more important than memorising procedures, so I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and use clear explanations alongside worked examples.
During lessons, I assess each student's strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring my teaching style to their individual needs and learning pace. I encourage active participation through problem-solving exercises, guided practice, and regular review of key concepts to reinforce understanding and improve retention.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and usually includes a review of previous material, explanation of new topics, worked examples, and practice questions. I also provide exam-focused support, helping students develop effective problem-solving techniques and gain confidence with GCSE-style questions.
As a Computer Science undergraduate, I use logical and analytical thinking skills daily, which helps me explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics and problem-solving.
