I have worked previously as an Americorps member working for City Year, where I worked in a third grade math classroom for a full school year. In that work I learned that any student can succeed in their learning with the right plan and people around them.

As a tutor, I try to understand exactly what a student is struggling with, why he/she is struggling, and figuring out exactly how I can educate the student in an easy to understand method. I always try to make the learning experience fun and engaging to encourage students to enjoy learning.
