About Dax
I am an experienced C programming tutor with 14 years of teaching High School and College students. Over the years, I have successfully guided around 250 students, helping them build strong coding skills and confidence in programming. My goal is to make learning C programming simple, clear, and enjoyable for every student.
I focus on breaking down complex concepts like loops, arrays, pointers, functions, and data structures into easy-to-understand lessons. I emphasise hands-on practice and real coding examples so that students can see how programming works in real applications. I also guide students in assignments, exam preparation, and practical problem-solving.
My teaching philosophy revolves around patience, empathy, and adaptability. I adjust my methods to each student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they understand the logic behind the code, not just memorising syntax. I encourage curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking while providing the guidance and support needed to succeed.
I take pride in seeing my students grow into confident programmers capable of tackling challenges in academics and projects. My sessions are interactive, practical, and motivating, helping students not only learn but also enjoy programming.

My teaching approach focuses on making programming clear, practical, and enjoyable. I specialise in Java, covering fundamentals like object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and exception handling. I also integrate topics such as file handling, GUI development, multithreading, and basic networking to give students a well-rounded understanding of Java applications.
I believe learning programming is best done by combining concepts with hands-on practice. I guide students through real-world projects, coding exercises, and problem-solving challenges to make learning meaningful and relevant. My lessons are structured but flexible, adapting to each student’s pace and learning style.
Motivation and encouragement are at the heart of my teaching. I foster a supportive environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. I use clear explanations, visual examples, and step-by-step guidance to ensure concepts are understood deeply.
I emphasise communication and accountability, helping students stay focused and track their progress. My goal is not only to prepare students for exams or assignments but also to equip them with the skills needed for practical projects and future job opportunities.
By the end of our sessions, students gain confidence in coding, problem-solving, and applying Java to real-world scenarios. I am dedicated to helping learners succeed and become proficient programmers, ready to tackle challenges in academics, projects, and careers.
