My name is Ivy Bell and I study communications at VCU. I have participated in writing workshops as well as self published my own poetry book. I have a deep passion for writing and want to share that passion with others. I also enjoy hiking, shopping, photography, and spending time with my cat!

I am patient and will work with my student till they have a full understanding of their lesson. I will start with having the student explain to me what it is I am tutoring them on and have them create their own idea and explanation before I input mine and give corrections and explain. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I don't just shove a bunch of information into my students but rather I make it fun and creative to learn and discuss and listen to their ideas to ensure they retain the information I am teaching them. My lessons are for middle or high school level classes in English or creative writing.
