Welcome! I’m Zoe Mendes — a dedicated communications coach, UIL speaker, and DECA leader committed to helping individuals find their voice and speak with purpose. With years of hands-on experience in competitive public speaking and leadership, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every session. As someone who has trained in persuasive speaking, led teams, and delivered presentations in high-stakes environments, I understand what it takes to communicate with clarity, confidence, and credibility. Hi, I’m Zoe Mendes — a persuasive speaker, student leader, and communications coach passionate about helping others speak with confidence and connect with impact.
As a top competitor in UIL speech and active DECA member, I’ve built my communication skills through real-world leadership, competition, and public speaking experience. Whether you’re a student preparing for a class presentation, a young professional refining your elevator pitch, or someone who simply wants to express themselves more clearly — I can help.
My Teaching Approach
I believe communication is both an art and a skill — and anyone can improve it with the right guidance. My approach is highly interactive, goal-oriented, and tailored to each learner. I combine proven communication frameworks with hands-on practice and real-time feedback to create lasting growth.
You won’t just memorize tips — you’ll learn by doing: speaking, reflecting, and improving in each session.
A Typical Lesson
1. Connection & Goal Check-In – What are we focusing on today? A speech? A conversation? A mindset shift?
2. Core Skill Focus – One targeted technique (e.g. tone, structure, clarity, body language, listening)
3. Live Practice – Simulations, mock presentations, or real-world scenario coaching
4. Feedback & Takeaway Plan – Honest, constructive notes plus action items for next time
