About Mary
I am an Honors and Fellows student at the College of Charleston pursuing two degrees in English and communications. I have worked as a tutor during high school and college and have three years of experience instructing individuals with disabilities. Thus, I am comfortable and confident working with students of various ability levels. I have also been nominated to work in the Writing Lab at my college because of my proficient writing and peer editing skills.

I am looking to tutor middle school and high school students. My methods of teaching include:
- Beginning each session with a clear agenda outlining the day's goals.
- Tailoring each lesson to the student's unique learning style using a variety of media (verbal instruction, visual aids, writing/reading activities, etc.).
- Facilitating a conversation about the student's work to encourage and enrich the student's own ideas.
- Adapting to differing needs of students.
