My concept is that humans could study anything; but that's possible only by understanding the basics concepts; and anything that studied without basic concept won't stay with you for long. So here, you would study the basics, then the practical application. Happy learning!
For example,
Let's say you are going to study Financial Accounting. So you start. First chapter of a study mat most probably would be an introduction part, then the definition part, then some functions, some merits, some demerits, limitations, advantages etc. Most would like to skip the theory. But let me say, some theory is actually needed for conceptual clarity. It is not for rememberance purposes in exam hall, but for your career. Accounting Principles and Conventions, Standards,Frameworks, Rules, Formats etc are examples. An excellent understanding in this area would help in your career immensely. Skip some topics like limitations, advantages , disadvantages, etc. That all topics can be covered later. First understand what's happening inside, then broad your subject knowledge.
