About Ana
I'm Ana, a mathematics and physics tutor who graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and Physics. I tutor while studying physics as a Master's student.
Over the past two years, I've worked with 70+ students, from premed students in introductory physics to high schoolers preparing for the SAT, with particular depth in calculus through the multivariable level. Having once struggled with these same subjects myself, I understand exactly where students get stuck, and I know how to help them get unstuck for good.

About my lessons:
I teach through questions, not answers. Instead of showing you the steps, I guide you to find them yourself, so the understanding sticks, not just the procedure. A typical lesson starts with what's confusing you, breaks it into a simpler version of the problem, and builds back up with lots of "why" checks along the way. Before exams, we shift to timed practice and fixing recurring mistakes.
About you:
I specialize in tutoring premed and college physics students, calculus students, high schoolers, and SAT math prep, in one-on-one building confidence for exams.
