Hi! I'm Pedro. I'm originally from Colombia and now living in New York for 2 years, where I just finished a master's at Columbia. By training I'm a lawyer, and Spanish has been the language of my whole life my family, my friends!
I have lived in 5 countries, I love to dance Salsa and go to different restaurants and cultural events or parties with my friends from each of their regions or countries.

You'll speak Spanish from the first lesson badly at first, and that's fine. That's how it works. I learned English as a kid and French as an adult, so I know the exact spots where people freeze up, and how to get you past them.
We talk, I correct gently (no red pen energy, I'm your guide), and I keep just enough grammar in the mix to make things click. Everything's built around why you're learning: travel, work, family, an exam. Not a textbook's idea of why.
My idea is simple: we learned our languages through the things we do every day and by building trust with our parents. How many times does a mom scold a child when saying their first words? Exactly. Not to say you will be a baby, but the mentality is to help you and encourage you through your hobbies and daily activities so you can enjoy the learning process.
I'm a native speaker from Colombia, and Colombian Spanish is about as clear and neutral as it gets, easy to learn from. I'm also a lawyer with a master's from Columbia, so I can teach the work and professional Spanish most tutors can't, not just café small talk. And since I've learned languages the hard way myself, I'm patient and I actually explain why Spanish does what it does.
Who the lessons are for:
Teens and adults, total beginner to advanced. Great if you're starting from zero, stuck on the intermediate plateau and desperate to just talk, prepping for travel or an exam, or need Spanish for work (business, legal, and finance included). Tell me your goal and I'll build around it.
