About Maddy
I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. I currently teach middle school band, and use writing and communication at work on a daily basis. Frequent tasks that I complete include creating and typing up concert programs, creating lesson plans, keeping organized rosters and other files, and communicating with staff and parents via email. English was always my strongest subject in school (besides music!), and I even completed a 21 page, single spaced paper during my time in college! My goal as your tutor is to give you the "why" behind each edit, and to give you the right tools to improve your writing.

My lessons are geared towards college students in ANY major, who either need help completing papers, or need a second set of eyes to proofread.
A typical lesson will start with either an assignment to be completed, or an assignment to be proofread. When completing a writing assignment, I will walk you through research strategies, organizing thoughts and information, sentence structure, and grammar/spelling/punctuation. When proofreading, I will walk you through the "why" behind each edit, and make note of frequent errors, giving you the tools to improve your writing.
