About Wendy
My forte is the realm of college application essays ~ Utilizing my Brown English degree, I started my own writing consulting business in Ipswich, MA, about 14 years ago which has grown into full college consulting. Along the way, I have become a self-made and proven expert in the college admissions process, navigating the Common App, and college interviewing for high school seniors. Additionally, I advise on waitlists and transfer applications. I have personally attended the campus tour and talk of over 40 of this nation’s top schools. Over the years, I have self-studied countless webinars and the best college essay books, and worked with former admission officers turned consultants as mentors, assimilating the information so you don't have to. I love to help students and their parents conquer this all-consuming adventure! I also specialize in graduate-level personal statements for master's programs, med school, nursing, PT, and law school, and contract with an international education company. My students have received acceptances at Harvard, Brown, Dartmouth, UPenn, Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, UChicago, U of Southern California, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Duke, UMichigan, UVA, UNC-Chapel Hill, UTAustin, Notre Dame, Amherst, Middlebury, Boston College, Villanova and Georgia Tech, just to name some of the over 195 different colleges on my win list.
At Brown University, I became an independent, free thinker with a degree in English, with particular emphasis in writing seminars. Wendy did a fantastic job of helping our son with his college application essays. She got to know him, and was able to push him to be more introspective and show more of himself in his essays. She also was great about keeping him on task during the process -- it was really helpful to have her serve that role, vs. being the nagging parents. Wendy was much more effective!!
