About Avery
13 years of shipping production code shapes how I view programming. I spent those years building systems that actually work in the real world. Now I tutor part-time to help first-gen Australian CS students navigate the maze of university requirements.
Python and JavaScript are my primary tools for teaching core logic. Algorithmic thinking remains the most critical skill for any new developer. I break down complex concepts into small manageable pieces for my students.
Working with intermediate learners allows me to refine their debugging techniques and clean code practices. Your goals drive our work together.

Soft keyboard clicks fill the air as we start building a project from scratch. I use my MSc Data Science from UTS to contextualize your homework problems within broader computing fields.
We iterate through data structures and C++ syntax until the logic clicks into place. Interview prep involves heavy practice on coding platforms to ensure you understand common patterns. 13 years of experience means I have seen almost every bug imaginable.
You walk away with a clear plan for your next assignment. It gets easier as we go.
