About Blake
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from Florida State University where I was fortunate to have wisdom imparted from many directions about the work. This allowed me to take what worked best from the teachings of Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Meisner/Esper, Kristen Linklater, Mary Overlie (Viewpoints), Martha Graham, and more. I am trained and certified in multiple forms of stage combat including hand-to-hand, short sword, and rapier/dagger. The amount of experience on stage is equal to my experience on a film/TV set. Love of film acting was the original seed of my aspiration to act, but it wasn't until after 5 years of stage acting that I began to make roles in film. In 4 years I made over 15 short films, and upon graduating made a feature length indie film. Since then, I have auditioned and worked consistently oscillating between professional and independent projects in film and television. My knowledge and experience is expansive, and touches many dimensions of our industry and craft. I write, and compose music too as means to keep my inner creator active, and growing. As acting is being, the more thoroughly life is lived the richer the life comes out within form.

Get On It, Get Real, Get It! The motto that will send you from a dreamer to a dream-maker. In the current atmosphere of booking through nationwide self tape auditions the standards for professionalism elevated by talent and craft are higher than ever. You've got to be able to emit that YOU ARE READY TO WORK in the first 5 seconds of this audition. Craft, technique, and pro energy are the determining factors of who works, and who wants to work. I will teach you how to access your truth in full awareness of the scene, world, your technicolor self, and pro industry expectations. I will help you to see the whole breadth of your own potential, and hone your powers to curate poignant, specific, and moving work. I earned my BFA in Acting at Florida State University, have studied and acted for 12 years, and currently live and work in NYC. In sessions we will go together from where you're at, be it square one acting lessons, or electrifying insight and engagement to reignite your inner creator and catapult you into real regular bookings. Together, let's Get On It, Get Real, and Get It.
