About Róisín
Hello! I'm Róisín. I've loved learning since I was very small – I started teaching myself ancient languages for fun when I was 6 – and I love sharing that passion with others, too.
I started tutoring when I was an undergraduate in London, and quickly discovered how rewarding it is to meet young people who love learning, just like I do.
Getting to help them explore new ideas is an opportunity and responsibility I take very seriously, although it's also a lot of fun.
Exploring the ancient world gives us the key to understanding the present – our cultures, languages, and more. I'd love to share that with you!

My background:
I studied Classics from high school up to master's level, getting my BA (Hons) from King's College London and my MA from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Whilst studying, I tutored individual students privately. I also worked with other MA students to edit and structure their essays and thesis drafts.
My approach:
I'll teach you Latin using either the textbook you're already using, or the Cambridge Latin Course. We'll follow the structure of the course, although curiosity is always wonderful – if there's a tangent you're interested in, we can explore it!
Standard lesson time is 1 hour. Can range from 30 mins – 1.5 hours depending on need.
Who I'll teach:
Latin & Classics: Anyone in the beginner to intermediate range, from school age to adult.
Essay-writing: All ages, from school to undergraduate level.
Critical thinking: Coaching style for teenagers and up.
