About CHINMAY
Hello! I’m Chinmay, a passionate and professionally trained tabla artist from the Punjab Gharana. I've had the privilege of performing at various big platforms. Tabla has been a part of my life since childhood, and I approach both performance and teaching with deep respect, discipline, and joy. As a teacher, I’m known for my clarity, patience, and detailed explanations. I focus on helping students build a strong foundation, truly understand rhythmic patterns, and develop confidence in both solo and accompaniment styles. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and learning pace, ensuring that beginners, intermediate learners, and experienced players all feel supported and inspired. Other than tabla, I’m also a guitar enthusiast, which gives me a broader musical perspective, and a trained badminton player, which helps me bring energy, focus, and discipline to everything I do. Whether in music or sports, I believe in constant learning, consistency, and enjoying the journey. I look forward to helping you begin or deepen your tabla journey with confidence, creativity, and connection.

I’m Chinmay, a passionate tabla player trained in the Punjab Gharana, with over a decade of classical training and stage experience across multiple Indian states and Canada. My teaching blends tradition with clarity — each lesson is crafted to give you a strong foundation in rhythm, technique, and musical storytelling.
I don’t just teach how to play — I teach how to feel the taal, how to make your hands speak music, and how to connect with the deep heritage of Indian rhythm. With detailed explanations and patient guidance, I help students grow confidently — whether you're learning your first na-dha or preparing a complex kaida for the stage.
My lessons are perfect for beginners, intermediate learners, and even experienced players looking to refine their artistry. Each class includes traditional compositions like kaidas, relas, tukras, and more — taught in a structured yet inspiring way.
