About Monica
I am a student and professional musician. I have been playing guitar for 12 years and have focused on classical and Latin classical music. I have volunteered my playing at numerous hospitals and retirement facilities. I also taught private lessons for 7 years as well as worked with elementary school bands for music reading.

My teaching method involves balancing what students find fun and the essential fundamentals that every guitarist needs. I believe it is crucial that every guitarist be ale to read music and have a strong understanding of how to approach any piece of music. However, if the student wants to learn contemporary music, I am more than happy to incorporate that into the lessons.
