About Jiaxin
I am a Chinese postgraduate student from the University of Manchester and my major is international education. I have been teaching six students for half a year. After attending my class, they can make a simple and daily conversation with Chinese and learn some Chinese traditional culture.

I am really willing to listen to my students' own ideas in order to get to know them more and then, based on their different characteristics, I will adapt my teaching method vary from person to person. I always try my best to make sure that every student can get access to the contents in a way which fits them best. For instance, some students learn quite well by means of group discussion while others find it quite interesting to learn and think on their own. Thus, I will separate my students in several groups and I will classity them by different learning method that fits them. I will give each group a different task for them to complete on the purpose of understanding the same learning materials. Besides, I often teach some Chinese songs in order to make them more interested in specific learning contents relating to the song. By singing those songs, they can get closer to the nature of expression and they can learn faster as a consequence. What's more, I will set up an individual goal for each student to encourage them to make progress in terms of speaking and listening and I will use the method of games to access their learning performance, such as writing stories and string up the puzzles, both can effectively stimulate students' interests in learning. Most importantly, I often receive feedback from students and their parents telling me about their large improvement in Chinese speaking and listening. Apart from that, they think I am really responsible and conservative, I care students' passion just the same as their performance and I will not judge them simply with the criteria of grades. Learning with me is an enjoyable process with no tension or pressure and I will give each individual student scope for imagination and creative ideas.
