About Yimeng
I had worked for several seminars on Chinese Language and Culture for diplomats and officials from different countries, and organized Mandarin Workshops for Mexican university students before I came to Australia. I have been giving private Mandarin lessons in Sydney for 4 years and each of my students has shown remarkable progress only after three weeks of lessons.
I completed my study in English and Spanish languages and literature in China and was in Spain and Mexico on exchange. I used to work at Beijing International Chinese College and Spanish Culture Center in Beijing. I know exactly what it's like to learn a language, and I love helping people understand my language and culture. It is my passion!

Lessons are 1 on 1 (or small group on request), which gives you very-focused attention. Learning materials are supplied and based on practical needs.
My Lessons are relaxing and with strong focus on conversational Chinese, you’ll be able to speak Chinese from the first class. Moreover, you’ll get to know about the real Chinese Culture and lifestyle without (or before) going to China. PLUS FREE language exchange opportunity with native Chinese speakers!
- For beginners, I offer a 10h package : Pinyin and Everyday Conversation, you will learn about Chinese pronunciation and useful basic phrases that will help you break barriers. (After that you can top-up more hours to reach the next level.)
- For other levels, lessons will be tailored to meet individual needs (including HSK).
- Also offer classes tailored for pre-school/primary/secondary school kids.
*5h & 10h package available for all level!
*ONLINE via zoom （face2face lessons currently unavailable until it's safe）

Perfect! Yimeng is an excellent teacher that is very friendly, personable and professional. Some positives of Yimeng's teaching that I have benefited from are:
1) Good English skills as well as Mandarin.
2) Makes the lesson personal to yourself i.e. your own hobbies, likes / dislikes, job etc
3) Can explain a word or concept in multiple different ways which is particularly helpful if you don't understand it in the first instance

Perfect! I get along really well with Yimeng and very happy with all the lessons I had with her. Yimeng is an excellent person and a teacher as well!! She is very nice and kind. By the way she knows how to speak English and Spanish very well, I can say this because I had her as a partner in Mexico during one year and she taught me a lot, I reallly appreciate hers lessons.
