About Sarah
I became passionate about the subject of childbirth and parenting through having my own four children , who are know grown up.
I decided to train as a Childbirth Educator after having my third child.
The in depth training took 2 years and since I started running course 29 years ago I have enjoyed every moment of this work.
It is wonderful to be able to support future parents along this exciting journey and to enable them to feel confident in the decisions they make around the birth and caring for their baby/babies in the early months.

About the lesson

I aim to create a welcoming, relaxed and comfortable space for future parents to discuss and learn about how best to equip themselves for the birth of their baby, whether that be a natural birth or a planned caesarian.
The ideal time to start the lessons would be around 30 weeks of pregnancy.
Each session is typically 2 hours.
There are 4 sessions which can be which can be taken separately or as block.
1. Preparation for labour & birth, early labour, breathing techniques and the role of a birth partner/supporter.
2. Pain Relief options, the birth of the baby & physical & emotional needs immediately after birth,
3.Managing interventions, informed choice & Caesarian birth.
4. Early parenting skills - the first 3/4 months with your baby.
I trained with the National Childbirth Trust - the UK’s foremost provider of antenatal and early parenting courses
I have a diploma in Childbirth Education.
I have 29 years of working full time in this field of education both in person and on line for groups, couples and single parents.
