Before we begin regular training, I always like to start with a friendly introductory meeting to understand your current chess level and see which parts of your game—openings, middlegames, or endgames—we can strengthen together.
My lessons combine proven study techniques and modern chess tools that I’ve personally used to reach my own level, such as ChessBase, top-quality books, and up-to-date training resources.

Every session is tailored to your goals and learning pace. Between lessons, I provide customized exercises and study material to help you stay consistent and keep improving. Many of my students have made outstanding progress and achieved great tournament results thanks to this structured approach.

The listed rate applies to individual one-hour lessons, though I’m always open to longer sessions or group programs if you prefer.

  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I learned how to play chess at the age of four, with my parents being the first to teach me how the pieces move. Not long after that, I began playing regularly with my three older brothers, which became my main way of practicing and improving throughout my early childhood, even before starting primary school. From the very start, I was drawn to the thrill of winning and the challenge of outthinking my opponents. Chess soon became far more than just a game to me — it turned into a sport that tests both the mind and character, combining strategy, concentration, and creativity in a way I’ve always loved.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

What makes me passionate about chess is that it constantly challenges both the mind and character. Every game is different, and there is always something new to learn, discover, or improve. I love the balance between logic and creativity — chess requires deep thinking, focus, and discipline, but also imagination and original ideas.
Teaching chess makes that passion even stronger. Helping students understand the game, build confidence, and enjoy the learning process is incredibly rewarding for me. Seeing their progress and sharing the excitement of improvement is what truly motivates me and keeps my passion for chess alive.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

What I enjoy most about tutoring is the personal connection with students and the opportunity to guide them through their learning journey. I love adapting my teaching to each student’s personality, level, and goals, and helping them build both skill and confidence step by step. Seeing a student understand a concept, improve their thinking, or achieve a breakthrough is incredibly rewarding.

What makes me a “Superprof” is my passion for teaching combined with patience, structure, and genuine care for my students’ progress. I focus not only on results, but also on values such as discipline, respect, and enjoyment of the learning process. I strive to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to grow, ask questions, and reach their full potential.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

I never really had a single role model in chess. Rather than focusing on individual players, I’ve always paid more attention to the kind of people they are and the values they stand for. For me, qualities such as respect, humility, discipline, and good sportsmanship are far more important than pure chess strength alone.

These are the same values I strive to pass on to my students — encouraging them to behave respectfully, treat others well, and enjoy the learning process before focusing solely on results. I believe that being a good person comes first, and success on the chessboard naturally follows.
  • What are your keys to success?

To succeed in chess, several key qualities are essential. Above all, a genuine love for the game is crucial, as it keeps you motivated through both wins and losses. Hard work, patience, and consistency are just as important, since real improvement in chess requires time and dedication. Discipline and focus help you remain sharp during long games and demanding study sessions. It’s also vital to handle defeats maturely — to analyze mistakes and learn from them instead of becoming discouraged. Finally, respect for your opponents and good sportsmanship are qualities every true chess player should possess.
