I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. My expertise lies in corrosion chemistry and its protection methods. I enjoy teaching students how chemistry shapes the durability of the materials we depend on every day. My lessons dive deep into electrochemical corrosion mechanisms, explaining how metals degrade in real environments. I also cover passivation techniques, showing how thin protective layers can save structures from damage.
We explore cathodic protection in detail, learning how industries prevent corrosion in pipelines, ships, and storage tanks. I guide students on material selection strategies for corrosion resistance, balancing cost, performance, and environmental factors. To make learning practical, I bring in industrial case studies of material degradation. You’ll see how theory connects to real-world challenges.
I use examples from bridges, offshore platforms, and chemical plants to illustrate critical concepts. My goal is to make corrosion chemistry meaningful and applicable. Students gain both conceptual clarity and an appreciation for the role of chemistry in extending the life of infrastructure.
