About Jack
My journey in chemistry began with fascination for how tiny molecular interactions create the materials and reactions that shape everyday life. This passion led me to complete a B.Sc in Chemical Sciences followed by an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, where I explored both theoretical foundations and applied research. Over the past 7 years, I have guided students through chemistry challenges with patience and supportive structure.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, adaptability, and confidence-building. I break down complex mechanisms into simple steps, use visual explanations, and ensure students understand patterns rather than memorising disconnected facts. I encourage questions and help learners develop independence in problem solving.
Outside of tutoring, I remain connected to chemistry through continued reading, research updates, and exploring real-world applications in medicine, industry, and environmental science. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because I see students transform from uncertainty into confident scientific thinkers. My mission is to help learners succeed academically while discovering their own potential.

Chemistry becomes far more understandable when students can connect invisible molecular processes to the real substances they see around them. In my lessons, I guide learners through atomic structure, bonding, acids and bases, stoichiometry, organic chemistry, and reaction mechanisms with clarity and patience. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind chemical behaviour, so topics feel logical rather than overwhelming. Each session includes structured explanation, practice questions, and supportive feedback to strengthen confidence.
Lessons are always adapted to the student’s level. Beginners focus on periodic trends, simple reactions, formula writing, and basic calculations. Intermediate learners strengthen balancing equations, chemical energetics, lab interpretation, and multi-step problem solving. Advanced students explore deeper organic pathways, equilibrium systems, spectroscopy basics, and exam-level analytical reasoning. Every lesson builds understanding step by step, ensuring steady improvement.
Chemistry lessons also develop strong analytical habits and scientific thinking. Students learn to approach complex problems calmly and trust their reasoning. Many learners become excited when chemistry shifts from confusing symbols into a meaningful system. My goal is to help students feel confident, capable, and empowered in chemistry.
