About Jessica
I have a masters in Chemistry and have finished my PhD thesis in Organic/DNA Chemistry and have been tutoring alongside my studies for 5 years. Previous students I have taught have improved their chemistry grades by 3 levels! I am happy and confident teaching chemistry up to A level and maths up to GCSE level.
I am now working as a Science Communicator at a Science Institution- through my job I strive to make science fun and accessible- the same applies to tutoring lessons!

I like to let my tutees guide how we learn. I cover range of core subjects to cement their knowledge along with exam technique. Mostly, I hope that tutees I teach learn to enjoy their subjects and build confidence in their abilities.

Jessica has been teaching my 15-year-old son Chemistry in preparation for his GCSEs for 6 months. My son enjoys Jessica's lessons (despite Chemistry being his least favorite subject before he started!), has progressed hugely, and has increased his confidence. She explains things well, provides really useful feedback for parents, and is always happy to go over things again.
Jess is excellent at making complex topics simple. We studied together often at university and she is a natural talent at identifying how different people learn, and she is able to communicate in an effective way. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor!
