About Isla
I am a chemistry tutor with 4 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. My interest in chemistry started with curiosity about how substances react and change in different environments. Over time, this curiosity developed into a passion for teaching and helping students understand complex concepts in a simple way. I have worked with students from different levels and helped them improve their understanding and confidence. My aim is to make chemistry easy, engaging, and clear for every learner.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and structured explanation. I break down difficult topics into smaller parts so students can understand them step by step. I use simple examples and practical explanations to make learning more effective. I also encourage students to think independently and ask questions without hesitation. Creating a supportive learning environment is very important to me. Students feel comfortable and confident during lessons. I provide regular feedback and guidance to help them improve steadily and consistently over time.
I continue to update my knowledge and improve my teaching methods to keep lessons useful and relevant. Teaching chemistry is very rewarding because I see students grow in confidence and understanding. I enjoy helping learners overcome challenges and develop interest in the subject. My goal is to support students in achieving academic success and strong conceptual clarity. By the end, students feel motivated, prepared, and capable of understanding chemistry deeply while continuing to build confidence and strong analytical skills for future learning.

My chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand concepts clearly and apply them with confidence in different situations. I teach topics such as atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, acids and bases, and equilibrium using simple language and step-by-step explanations. I focus on building a strong foundation so students do not feel confused when topics become more advanced. Real-life examples are used often to make concepts more relatable and interesting. Each lesson is carefully structured so students can follow smoothly without feeling overwhelmed. I also create a supportive and friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their doubts openly.
Lessons are adapted based on each student’s learning level and pace. Beginners focus on understanding basic concepts using simple explanations and diagrams. Intermediate learners work on chemical equations, calculations, and identifying patterns in reactions. Advanced students explore organic chemistry, mechanisms, and exam-focused problem solving. I provide clear explanations and detailed feedback in every session. Students are encouraged to explain answers in their own words, which improves clarity and retention. Regular revision sessions and practice questions help reinforce understanding and ensure steady improvement over time.
Chemistry becomes easier when students build strong foundations and practise consistently with proper guidance. My goal is to help learners remove fear and develop confidence in the subject. As they progress, they begin to enjoy solving problems and understanding chemical processes more deeply. Many students show improvement not only in marks but also in their overall confidence. I focus on gradual progress, deep understanding, and continuous support. By the end, students feel confident, capable, and ready to approach chemistry with clarity, precision, and strong analytical thinking skills that help them succeed in future studies.
