About Dawson
I am a dance instructor in my fourth year of undergrad, studying chemistry and mathematics. I teach Lindy Hop to a group class and tutor students in calculus and organic chemistry every week. My students have gone on to degrees in computer science, biology, and business.

I enjoy working with fellow undergraduates and young adults looking to level up their understanding of mathematics, chemistry, or authentic jazz dances. I teach with a focus on step-by-step logic and derivation, coupled with tangible, visual examples. With each student, I encourage exploration of their own knowledge and assumptions, crafting curriculum to fill in conceptual gaps.

Dawson was prepared for each tutoring session and very qualified to reinforce and teach the material. Although we knew each other before tutoring, this did not hinder the professionalism durning the sessions. He is passionate about the topic and helped me actually learn chemistry. I would highly recommend him for tutoring to anyone.
Dawson listens to understand what I think my problem is, watches to find what he thinks my problem is, and tailors his instructions in a way that best helps me. He is an observant and patient teacher who always reinforces the basics of each subject.
