About Joe
I love to teach and pass on my knowledge to students. For example I have lead a class of GCSE science students through their coursework, from practical experiments to the final write-up. At university I lead a group of year 9 students through some engineering principles using coffee brewing and M&M's to demonstrate diffusion, it was exciting for them and me!

My name is Joe and I am a recent engineering graduate. Science, engineering and maths are passions of mine and they have driven me throughout my life. These subjects can be really interesting but at the same time they can be tough. My goal is to keep them engaging and exciting whilst helping students past the tough parts and giving them the opportunity to do their very best.
I am to make my lessons bespoke for the student's needs, whether that's improving specific aspects for exams, boosting confidence or improving grades. A typical structure for my lessons would be starting from the basic principles and underlying concepts of a topic; this is to give my students a solid foundation to build off of. Next the aim is to build up the complexity, expand on the topic with example exercises that I will run through with the student, tracking progress and identifying areas that need focus. Finally we would go over some exam style questions, to allow the student to demonstrate that they have learned not only the concept, but how to apply it. Throughout this I will be having open and honest dialogue with the student, checking their understanding and keeping the lesson as engaging as possible.
It can be a stressful time being a student, there is revision to do, exams to take and all sorts of applications to do. My ultimate goal is to give students a safe space to learn, away from that stress. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
