About Simren
I am a 24-year-old Chemical Engineering graduate with A Levels in Maths and Further Maths.
I have always enjoyed mathematics and the process of understanding how and why different methods work. During my studies, I developed a strong ability to break down complex problems into simpler steps, which has helped me build a clear and structured way of thinking.
I enjoy working with others and explaining ideas in a way that is easy to understand and adapt depending on the person I am working with. I am patient and like taking the time to make sure concepts are properly understood rather than rushed through.
I am interested in teaching because I find it rewarding to help others build confidence in areas they may initially find difficult, particularly maths. I also value the opportunity to share the knowledge and skills I have developed through my academic background.

I offer maths tuition for primary and secondary school students, including support with homework, exam preparation and building confidence in key mathematical concepts.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorisation. I break down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and adapt explanations to suit each student's learning style. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems independently, providing guidance where needed to help develop confidence and problem-solving skills.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged if required.
I hold A Levels in Maths and Further Maths and have a degree in Chemical Engineering, which involved extensive use of mathematics and analytical problem-solving. I have a strong academic background in maths and am committed to providing clear, patient and supportive instruction.
My lessons are suitable for primary school pupils and secondary school students looking to improve their understanding of maths, strengthen core skills, or prepare for school assessments and exams. Lessons are available online or in person for students located nearby.
