About Jawairiya
With over five years of experience teaching science in two of the UK’s highest-performing secondary schools, I understand what it takes to help students succeed—regardless of their starting point. I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering and have a proven record of raising achievement, including leading my class to the best GCSE results in the department, with the only Grade 9s across the cohort. I bring the same high standards, care, and commitment to tutoring as I do in the classroom. My sessions are clear, structured, and tailored to each learner’s goals, whether that’s boosting confidence, improving grades, or deepening scientific understanding. As an experienced and passionate science educator with over five years of teaching in two of the UK’s top 1% nationally ranked schools for GCSE progress, I bring a dynamic and supportive approach to online tutoring. My lessons, typically lasting 60 minutes, are carefully structured to build understanding, boost confidence, and make science engaging and accessible. I specialise in working with KS3 and GCSE students and have a strong track record of helping learners make excellent progress—my class achieved the highest GCSE results in the department in 2024, including the only Grade 9s. I use a range of interactive tools and real-world examples to bring science to life, and tailor every session to meet the individual needs of each student. Whether your child needs to close gaps in understanding, stretch towards top grades, or simply build confidence, I create a calm, encouraging environment where they feel seen, supported, and motivated to succeed.
