About Hekang
I am a Chinese immigrant that moved to Australia in 2013 at the age of 13, I am fluent in both Mandarin and English. I was a software engineering student at the ANU, but I am currently undertaking Bachelor of Primary Education at UC because I discovered my passion for spreading knowledge and joy to others verbally. I am used to communicate with people of all ages, especially children as I have previously worked at a toy store and I have volunteered at Questacon technology center for over 300 hours. Although I have not yet formally tutored/mentored anyone before, but I do tend to help out others whenever I get the chance to.

My teaching method could be online/face to face. The teaching structure will be based on my experience on mastering a language. I originally find English rather difficult to learn, fortunately, soon I had noticed that English is very similar to the modern Chinese(Mandarin) as a result of the people adapting the Latin symbol characters and turned it into 'Pinyin'. There will be different focus for different levels of learners. For beginners, verbal will be primarily focused, but for intermediate speakers, writing will be more focused.
