About Danica
I am a BC certified teacher with 6 years of teaching experience. Before I was a teacher, I was a youth worker, so I'm adept at building rapport and making students feel comfortable. I love teaching math and English, and I am a fluent French speaker. I've been told that I am an excellent communicator, and that I explain things effectively and in a way that makes sense to students.

I love to explain and demonstrate concepts in a way that makes sense and connects with students' interests. In each lesson, I start by connecting meaningfully with students. Next, we review previous concepts and assess our understanding. Then, new content is delivered, checking for understanding as we go. At the end, we consolidate our knowledge and celebrate our progress with a short reflection or snapshot evaluation.
