About Parker
I am a BC-certified teacher based in British Columbia, specializing in literacy, reading comprehension, writing, and academic support for K–12 students.
I work with students of all levels and adapt my teaching to meet individual needs, whether that means building foundational skills, improving confidence, or strengthening academic performance. My approach is structured, supportive, and focused on clear, step-by-step learning.
Each session is purposeful and tailored to the student’s goals, with an emphasis on skill-building, independence, and long-term improvement. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to grow.
I maintain clear communication with both students and parents and ensure lessons are aligned with school expectations where possible.

I am a BC-certified teacher specializing in literacy, reading comprehension, and writing skills for K–12 students. My approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s needs.
Each lesson is designed to build both skill and confidence. I break concepts into clear steps, model strategies, and guide students through practice with immediate feedback so they can become more independent over time.
A typical session includes a quick review, focused instruction on one key skill, guided practice, and a short reflection to consolidate learning. Lessons are always adapted to the student’s level, school requirements, and learning goals.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex ideas, build strong foundational skills, and create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning and improving.
