About Brenna
I have taught in several high school English classrooms in New York. 9th grade (14 year olds) English, 10th and 11th grade (15,16 year olds) journalism and English and 12th grade (17 year olds) broadcast journalism. Each of my classes allowed me to design unique lesson plans. All of my lessons are made to differentiate the needs of all learners. I teach preparation classes for testing as well as individual skills workshops to create a better understanding for English Language Arts (ELA) mechanics when reading and writing.

My approach for teaching is to recognize the individuality of each learner, and develop lessons based on their personal needs. Getting to know my students has proved to be the most important aspect of their success and is something I intend to carry with me throughout all of my future endeavors. I am enthusiastic about teaching and learning with my students and instill a mutual respect and kind demeanor to create a safe and positive learning environment.
