About Thomas
I have over 5 years experience teaching English as a second language both in person and remotely in group sessions and one to ones at every level from young learners to adults and IELTS preparation classes!
My teaching career began by obtaining my 150-hour TESOL course in Cambodia, and after spending a year teaching in the capital Phnom Penh, I returned home and continued to teach students all across the world from my home in Manchester, England.
My degree is in Archaeology and Anthropology so I love learning about the history and culture of other people, and this informs the way in which I teach.
In my spare time, I love long-distance running, video games, and I am currently writing a fantasy novel (which is taking some time!)

The aspect I love most about teaching is build a rapport with students and allowing them to feel comfortable in making mistakes and asking questions, so that they can grow and succeed. Building a relationship of trust and openness with students allows me to tailor lessons to their interests and passions, so that the learning experience doesn’t have to be stale and boring.
In our first lesson together, we will get to know each other and identify the key areas you wish to improve on, so I can construct an efficient and enjoyable plan for you to accomplish your goals.
