About Joseph
Teaching EMS and scene safety is a passion of mine. I have been teaching EMS and Skills for around 10 years, after losing my very close friend Daryl Gordon, after he passed away in a Line of Duty Death in 2016 with the city of Cincinnati Fire Department. I currently work in the field of Fire and EMS, and have been doing so since 2007. I currently teach EMS and fire at the fire department, Private ambulances, and at my local community college. I was invited and attended to teach a group of professional EMS personnel from Dubi and UEA on how we do EMS and Private EMS here in the United States. While holding current certifications in Firefighter II and EMS, I am also a state of Ohio Fire and EMS Instructor I/II with Pro Board certifications. I am also a Fire Fire Instructor in charge.
I started riding along on fire trucks and ambulances at the age of 14, ( These are called Fire Explorers/ Cadets ) and I was a certified Firefighter and EMT at the age of 18. I have worked on an ambulance or Truck ever since, While in my career in Fire and ems, I have also mentored and taught hundreds of new EMTs, I have helped teach firefighters become EMTs, as well as sitting one on one with them to help best prep them for National Registry ( NREMT ).
I have 18 years as a certified Firefighter/EMT, I have worked on Mobile Intensive Care Units, Fire Departments, and I spent several years on FEMA's Task Force Units for Search and rescue operations. During my time in the EMS field I have received several Letters of Commendations for life saving measures, and Certificates of Achievements. While my long time in the "field" is full of fun stories I am able to relate real life situations to help you best understand and dissect test questions in order to better understand them.
