About Vis Maad
I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching for almost 20. My practice is ever evolving and a fusion of expansive study. As a lifelong athlete, initially on the court and fields, still in the mountains and water, I understand the benefit of yoking mind and body. The effects are practical; the practice harmonizes the body’s nature. And the mind? After all we are mystical bodies as well as medical. It’s a recalibration with your own breath, body, and mind. Beginning with the breath and a keen ability for observation I adapt instruction to fit student needs. My practice responds to my mood and yours should too. Combining a broad understanding of mindfulness, neuroscience, anatomy, and connective tissue our practice may be fiery and fierce or breathy and still. Yoga is for every body. Let yours decide.
