About Tormey
My name is Denise and I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I'm a certified CELTA teacher and guidance counselor, holding a master’s in education and a master’s in creative writing. In my free time, I love writing, sea swimming, playing tennis, and spending time with my family and friends.
As a guidance counselor, I have spent over 20 years working, one to one, with teenagers and adults, helping them to achieve their goals. More recently, I have had the pleasure of teaching English to small groups of adults online and I have also taught adults in person. For me, one of the most joyful things in life is to see my clients grow in confidence and thrive!
My goal is to help you to progress on your English language journey so you can expect well-prepared classes that are interesting and fun. You can also expect a relaxed, warm and encouraging environment.
