About Anise
I am currently a cellular and molecular biology Ph.D. student. I received my bachelor's degree in biochemistry and environmental studies. I completed 3/4 years of medical school. I have experience teaching both college and high school-level courses. I am currently an educator at Cheverly STEM Education Center, where I teach biology, cellular biology, genetics, and environmental science.

I take an individualized approach to determine the gap in understanding. I use a variety of resources to reinforce fundamental material for the subject. I like to meet the student where they are and work to build knowledge through their learning style. I like to enhance science knowledge through metaphors and equate the information to things and processes that the student is already familiar with.
