About Aiyana
I am pursuing a B.S. in cell and developmental biology at UConn and plan on obtaining a PhD. in cancer biology. I have a background in molecular and cell biology as well as experience in chemistry and developmental biology. Additionally, I have 3 years of lab experience where I conducted research on cancer biology and genetic toxicology. One of my research projects surrounding metabolic activation assays for genetic toxicology was published and this experience can help others gain insight into the process. I have been a tutor for 3 years and have tutored in math, biology, and language arts. With my help, I was able to improve upon my student's understanding of content, which raised their grade point average significantly.

I feel that it is best to teach to the student and use a variety of problem solving methods, as everyone has different ways of learning. It is important to be patient and utilize practice problems so that the student feels comfortable approaching questions on their own.

I am open to tutoring both college and high school students at the same rate. My cancellation policy is if not given at least 3 hours notice before the lesson you are required to pay half the lesson fee.
