About Rafif

As a recent BA English Literature with Creative Writing Graduate student, I have a passion for the subject. I love reading, writing, and engaging in the many themes and topics that it offers. My background as a graduate of this subject has given me strong skills in essay and creative writing, engagement in texts and an overall strength in English Literature in higher education.

English has always been my strongest and favourite subject growing up. I find enjoyment in sharing this same passion and view of English that I find with others, whether it is literature or creative writing.

I've been in your position before; I understand, exams and essays are stressful, and the pile of texts to finish are just rough. I aim to make your journey in this subject comforting and engaging, improving your skills in less overwhelming ways.

My hobbies outside tutoring are engaging in pop culture and football. I'd love to talk to you about your own favourite topics and hobbies as well, so that we might share! I also do freelancing to gain professional experience after university. Alongside this, I am also an aspiring author in the process of writing my debut fantasy novel.

As your tutor, I am determined to be as friendly and supportive as I can! At the same time, critical and reflective of your work, because I'd want the best for you. I believe a positive learning environment creates exceptional outcomes. Academically or personally.

About the lesson

My lesson and teaching techniques are tailored to YOUR own academical needs and goals, focused on building both your confidence as well as skills. My teaching style is tailored to adapt to suit your learning style and pace.

I want to change your view of the subject from just memorisation, but moreso improving your engagement in literature and essay/creative writing.

Each lesson will last 60 minutes to 90 minutes, tailored for enough time for us to explain and engage with the subject and developing your skills. This gives us time for you to showcase your learning and my review without overwhelming you.

My lessons are targeted for students in their KS3, GCSEs and A-Levels stage of their academic journey. I am also open to those wishing to improve their writing, grammar, and creative skills.
