About Marcelina
I started tutoring when still in Sixth Form, and remember how quickly I grew to like this little side job. I give my students linguistic confidence by sparking their enthusiasm - learning a language is too often seen as a boring chore, but it is simply not true. My job is rewarding not only because of the visible improvements in students' learning but also because I get to share my passion for different cultures. I am a very patient and understanding person, so my students never feel ashamed or embarrassed to ask for help or clarification. I quickly establish friendly connections, meaning that my students feel at ease when working with me.

My lessons are 60 minutes long. I use engaging PowerPoints that cover all aspects of the language, including speaking, listening, translation, grammar, and reading. I split my lessons into two parts - one focuses on grammar and the other on topics (family, customs, relationships -anything on the specification). I am a very enthusiastic person who has always enjoyed tutoring, so my lessons keep the students entertained whilst focused on language learning.
I am a current undergraduate at the University of Cambridge studying French and Russian and have been tutoring for the past four years, mainly online. This means I know which approaches work best to keep students focused and get the most out of their learning.
I tutor both GCSE and A-Level students.
